Lol, I should really stop abusing spatter brushes but they're so much fun~~~~ >_>

So, Kaneki Ken, one of my favorite characters ever probably. Before the whole shitstorm happened at the end of TG. Won't spoil anything but I recommend the manga, it's really awesome.

The idea was to make Kaneki 'unravel' which is also the name of the anime opening song (ignore the anime, though, it's.....not as good as manga really >_>). Number 'XII' is a reference to the Tarot card under the same number - The Hanged Man - which symbolizes and fits Kaneki perfectly.

Kaneki was completely repainted from the original scan and it was really a hassle to make all those colors work and blend together properly. Parts were then erased and then kinda butchered with spatter brushes to fit the idea (I literally went all 'wheee~ spatters~' on the poor kid lol). And since spider lilies are a predominant theme that goes with Kaneki and his character transformation, I added those two on the left side that I vectored from another scan (spider lilies are a bitch to vector, do not wanna repeat that again.) In the end I added some subtle background elements and patterns, some grungy brushes/textures and text on the left. Textless version is also available.

And that's it! Hope you like it and feedback is, naturally, welcome!

Brushes (c) starwalt and KeReN-R.

Simply Loved the way you painted his face! It looks like it's done with traditional media to me; those color blends especially in his eyes are so lovely. <3
But his sad face makes me want to cry xD You conveyed emotions perfectly! :3
Awesome! is all I can say~
