It’s been a while since I last visited or posted in MT with all the exams and stuff it was hard to find time for making a wall. However, I finally decided to make a quick and simple wall :)

After watching Kyokai no Kanata I wanted so badly to create a wall paper for this series. I didn’t know which pose or character to use but finally settled with Mirai
I just wanted the focus to be on her face and show the soft side of her so I opted for creating a portrayed painting with visible brush strokes. For elements like flowers, petals and bubbles I also kept them simple with a paint feel to them. Since it is summer, I decided to go with colours that represent the season. I used Ai to create and paint Mirai and used Ps for the background. The process to few hours, don’t remember exactly how much.
You can take a look at the process and my inspiration below.

Hope you enjoy it :)

I really love the painted strokes that are visible in wallpaper, they are looking so gorgeous that I can stare them for whole day! :D
I really love how hair turned out, looks so pretty with those uneven strokes, same for eyes, they looks so gorgeous I would have preferred it with more saturation but then I think it looks pretty with the rest of wall like this.
Like Alenas said, I would also love to see the lines in uneven painted stroke looks as well, they would have given more water color feeling to wall....
I love the BG strokes, those bubbles looks so tender and really cute, and her pose is looking so charming, you sure caught the soft side of Mirai, really!
Your hard work really pays off! this is one of most unique wallpaper I've seen here! Already looking so good in my desktop! :D
btw, I loved your wallpaper! :D

Oooohhh, I'm so glad I clicked the thumbnail. I would have never guessed otherwise that you combined vectors with that painted look. :O You combined all the elements nicely; Mirai looks great and the BG as well. I'd probably just make the colors on her more vibrant to make them contrast with the BG more.

Ooh, I love the soft pastel colors and the water color-like painting and brush strokes! Really makes this whole piece look magical and lively. I almost wish the lineart wasn't vectored to add up to the painterly feel. xD

Speaking of lineart, there are some minor 'line leaks' like with her right pinky finger and the rim of her glasses and lines being visible through the petals (like the one on her collarbone?). Also, I just realized you added your username into her hair. Nice little detail, too~

    Keep it up!

It's adorable, and so well crafted. Gentle watercolour textures & tones create a very dreamy and calming result. Simply lovely.
