O.M.G. I can't believe it's finally done! O_o Didn't expect I'll finish the BG so quickly (oh my, the original size is almost 4 Mb ._.)

I beg Val-san pardons for making her wait for the promised present for that long (hmm, promised a wall at the start of the year)

So, I started to work for the present with different scans jumping from one to another. Then I decided to look through Valuna's fav scans and saw this one which I liked long ago and wanted to start working on one day. And that was my destiny. Also I didn't want to show it to anyone untill I'm finished. Hope this worl could surprise people who've known me for quite long.

The most part of spent time (more than a month of stable work) was taken by vectoring the lineart. I tried to single every little detail since there're lots of them. And at first the idea was to make it look as a kind of 2D modern style (don't even know what kind of style it looks like now). But when I started to colour it the idea'd changed. I couldn't have stopped myself from adding more and more details with my tablet and mouse. Everything in this wall just cried for me to add more!
This guy from the game has so much difficult details, I didn't expect to work on. I had to look at original art for looking how to make everything right.
While working on the BG, I've got an idea to use some texture brushes for more interesting view :)

Now about the title: there's a fav computer game of mine where one of the characters says that phrase from time to time. So when I firstly saw the original scan his words sounded in my mind. I decided it'd be a nice title and got an idea for the BG, since the characters're in such suitable poses. Simple white BG is quite boring IMO. But back then I didn't know how my idea will look. I tried it only a couple of hours ago ^-^' Hope it looks interesting, and the Moon with the Sun look normal XDD

Hope you'll like it :3 Please leave your opinions :)

PLEASE DO NOT REPOST ANYWHERE

    That tiger, so pretty~ :o

I think the idea for the background was a pretty awesome one, that whole art nouveau style fits it quite nicely and adds up to the whole atmosphere between those two. The title is especially nice, as well!
I'm still torn between wanting to see more defined and less blurred/smudged(?) shadows on those things in the background (more defined like the shading and lighting on the guy's hair) but I can't decide whether that would look better or this simpler approach works better with the overall style.

Still, this is pretty awesome, I'm sure Val will like it!

*forever staring at that tiger <3*

What an amazing work! wow! Lots of detail and the colors! I can understand why it took so long to finish...and it was worth it! Thank you for sharing!

Holy donkeys did you check my faves? Stalker! I had it planned for sometime in the future >.< but hey, I still appreciate it when others wall stuff I like! I had planned it to be one of my only couple walls...now I will look for something new xD

Anyway, I'm glad you could pull through the lineart. I wouldn't think anyone is crazy enough to do it except me. You go crazy girl ~

The colouring is great, love it. It has a very warm and subtle atmosphere. So I am not so sure about the fact that you put blue in the place where it originally was white. Callista's dress became golden yellow instead of white, which makes it more "warm". Overal, still nice and lovely. The soft shading fits quite nicely, but I question it sometimes in some areas, since it is hard to notice. Love the tiger aswell xD Some texture might have been nice and a colour filter to just blend everything a little more.

I really like it and well..thanks for putting through with it Painter ~

Congratulation on finishing this amazing wallpaper. The art neveau style and the colours that you chose really blends well with the original scan style. I am glad that you went through with the idea of incorporating the moon and the sun reference in the wallpaper. It fits perfectly well and enhanced the subtle beauty of your work. Thanks for sharing it with us ~

Are you kidding me?! Holy batman, this is awesome! O_o

All the details (I always admire small details, it's like a disease I have)! The vector looks fantastic! Everything's so smooth and flawless. Everything perfectly shaped.

Just what Alenas said - I too miss some more sharp shadows in this. Personally, I don't like the style you used on the BG elements. It gives me the feeling that the artist just used Inner Glow/Shadow annnd nothing more.

But I agree with everyone that overall, this is an impressive work. Very peaceful and calming thanks to the light colors. Amazing job, Zix! You're seriously getting better with every piece you make. :D

P.S. What do you mean by "oh my, the original size is almost 4 Mb". That last SnK wall, which I submitted was like 180 Mb. I thought that was a lot.
P.P.S. No colored lineart, haaa? You always advise me to make them colored. xD

Amazing work, the Outlines must have taken a lot of your time! Im not to sure about the Blue Background it feels like there is one Colortone missing but it might be just my Impression.
    Anyway Great Wallpaper

I give you a bow for all those details here.

Those details were amazingly superb. I like the soft contrasting colors which are being applied here, they simply represent both the characters. The title has a very nice ring on it, reminds me of dualism of the moon and the sun which is in parallel with male and female. The attention seeker tiger on the right also deserves some credit.

    Thumbs up...you're simply great!

It's so beautiful! Love the art nouveau look to it!. The color scheme overall is very pleasing to the eyes. Personally, I feel like the tiger is unnecessary, but I imagine that that would've resulted in a lot of re-drawing? Anywho, awesome job Painter!

*kisses your feet for the AMAZING outlines!*
    Flawless work in my eyes!
Other than the outlines, I really like the Tiger, it is looking amazing and realistic!
And then the lilies are my true love, I just can't let my eyes off from them, and then the skin is done very nicely too!

All in all, I LOVE THIS!

PS: Now you made me wonder to make your shrine too! *giggles*

I'm a sucker for sun and moon themed work :3

But that being said, this is absolutely STUNNING.The composition, the line-art, the delicate & smooth painting... it all works beautifully together. Congratulations on the highlight!
