Well, i made it rebulid somethings in the scan. I rebulid the background, expanding to the left and right; Let transparent parts of reconstruction to make the dream of air. So, your nightmare.

Minimal resolution would be either 1080p or higher. I tend to go a step above that myself. A wallpaper these days loses most of it's functionality if it doesn't have that.
It is quite funny that I have been seeing this scan walled several times, even by myself but no one ever bothers vectoring the girl. It is really simple as there is like no outlines. Perhaps I shoukd change the colours of mine and submit it. This one really doesn't take much time and it allows you to extend a scan in the exact same style witbout having to repeat anything, as adding elements of the same type can be done from more than just the scan.
You did a nice job turning it into a wallpaper. The lighting is basically perfect and things seem quite smooth. I always thought the background was quite an impressive way to express. The hands were just nice, but after looking at yours I easily see the same hand copy/pasted atleast 3 times. When you're going to copy and paste elements to save time and whatnot, make sure that it is done subtly that no one will really notice it. I personally only copy something once unless I can twist it 180 degrees, then I do it once more. It really depends on how defined the shape itself is on how much is allowed. You should have created a few more hands using other scans or something. Then there is the sky...surely that's smoke when everything is pure black? Some stars in the sky would be nice imo. The original has it, why not this one? It does seem empty to me without them. Just a little is nice.
