Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu Wallpaper: It’s Such a Colorful World!

Old is old.... and that’s what this wallpaper is: old.

I recently found this folder with all these old wallpapers that I did for AP, and well, this is one them. I’ll honestly admit that I used to put a lot more effort into my wallpapers’ concepts back then. Maybe I was more motivated, I don’t know...

Some of you might remember this wallpaper (you can even find it all around the web in sites that I didn’t even know existed). Some of you might also remember that there is also a boys’ version of it. If anyone wants, I could post that one as well. Just speak up to let me know though.

Anyway, this is the all-girl version of my first Baka to Test wall. If the “bakas” (the boys) have a wallpaper, so should the girls.

Now I don’t exactly remember what I wrote when I first posted it in AP (and I won’t try too). I do however remember this:

- Vectored these girls from a screenshot I took from the second ending (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0DbN2fnFjoc) of season 1. Fixed and improved certain parts of the image (like the eyes)
- Vectored the “baka” labels from a series of different screenshots I took from the second season opening (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Osm8IiMxPbg). All the other assets such as the bento box and gaming device (PSP) were vectored from scratch.
- Put together a somewhat “surreal” type of background. I guess I wanted the scene to feel somewhat magical.
- Changed the cat’s expression from the once in the screenshot (didn’t like it, I guess).
- Added textures here and there.
- Signature is on the bench (for those of you looking for it). It is small, but it is there.
- Everything was done using AI and PS.

Here (below) is my old “progress” chart for this wallpaper. It is a fun little chart with a bunch of nonsensical “baka” stuff. This chart does not include a shot of the final version nor does reflect the whole building progress.

Also, so you guys are aware, I did tweak the wallpaper a little bit to "improve" it (not that I think it needed that much of an improvement, but hey...) prior posting it here. Nothing major and time consuming though.

Now that I think about it, the girly look and “pinkness” of this wallpaper might make a good Valentine’s Day wallpaper, especially with it coming soon........

P.S: Baka to Test was a good-fun series. I felt like re-watching it now after finding this wallpaper and watching the ED2 and OP2 in Youtube. I would love for Silver Link to make a 3rd season, really....
