Sorry for the long absence, I needed a bit of a break from everything. I'm in a bit of a slump and can't seem to get anything done. Is this what they call art block?

Finished this piece more than a month ago. I really need to work more on drawing males. Their anatomy is harder for me to draw. The thing that really made me re-draw the sketch a couple of times was Judal's six pack... I could not, under no circumstances make it look good :<
The coloring part I really enjoyed though. I even made new brushes for this piece.

Sketch: Graphite on paper
Lineart: Clip Studio Paint
Colors/Shading: Photoshop

    I hear you! I can't draw men as much as I try. (or at least scantily clad men... ^_~) You did a commendable job here, but I think Judar's 6-pack needs some darker shading... and maybe define some of the muscles along his waist. Muscles has some good reference images. :)

    Well, it is nice to see work from you. If you're ever looking for more inspiration, more bishies are always welcome! <3 Keep up the great work!

    You're not alone in the I-can't-draw-males boat -w- when I draw them they end looking like girls ; ;
    They both look kinda stiff posed I see, but I love all the glittery rukh around, the bg make it look more shiny too, which gives the magic touch overall :3.

    Oho! Another awesome piece from you! I feel you. My males always look waaay too feminine as well...

    I like the colors (purple is my favorite) and all the details you put into this. The shadows on the characters' hair look great! Yea, just try to practice anatomy more. The characters's bodies look kind of flat. Like Firefly wrote - don't only use shadows to indicate muscles but try to outline them, too, like the sixpack here. Amazing job, in any case.

    Epic stuff as always...been a while indeed tho. Don't worry about the male muscles since they are overrated :P But yeah maybe because of the perspective or something else they look odd. Basically the issue is the positioning tbh. Too high and wide especially. Those muscles should be down below with much condensed formation. Leave some room for the upper muscles ;) You ll get the hang of it soon I am sure. The small details and colouring more than makes up for the six pack issue anyways. Keep up the gorgeous work.

    Great work as always Yoneyu! but I thought one of those characters was female at first glance x.x

    Long hair is fine but tops that short just don't look good on males. Imo, to draw males, you just have to add lots of muscles, a square chin and tada~ you got a male character :P
