Hello everyone :)

Firstly must say, I'm not surprised with the judging results. I wasn't satisfied with my entry , just because of having much less time that it was needed >.> Pitifully I spent almost the whole round time vectoring the character (this interpretation seemed to fit better than other variants I thought about) and at the end had only one day left for walling :( I dug over the MT searching for a good BG scan (1, 2, 3, 4 and others) but all of them were whether too smal, too pixelerated, too bright or too blurred... It became a completly collapse of my idea, so I had to choose smth of the scans I found. This one was the most suitable.

After that I tried to put all my skills of lightning-and-shadowing into combining together those pics. The BG was too sharp and pixelerated, that's why I decided to blur it a bit >.>' Also I had a feeling of 'smth wrong", but the time was up and it was better to send smth I've got instead of nothing :)

After a while we had a chat with Elisa, she agreed about the BG and adviced me this one (I don't have an account on Zero-chan and didn't even think about looking through its gallery ._.). Of course, I was really glad that I could remake my wall (it'd be pity, if I couldn't make a good wall with the vector in which I put so much efforts). Also submitted my vector on MT :) (To be honest I wasn't sure about it, too. Her eyes, the kimono and the flowers, that style of lineart were smth new for me)

And people! Don't forget to congratulate Elisa with her BD on the 9th of October!

So hope, you'll like this version more than the previous one ^-^

    I'm glad I could help. As I have already said in my PMs, I like this version more because the BG isn't so blurry as the first one and merges better with your vector not only in terms of quality but also in terms of color palettes. Both the girl and the city are (dark) blue and without the ocean from the first BG the girl also seems to be integrated in the city more.

    Also, A+ for the theme interpretation. I think it was rather creative. :D

    This background does fit quite a bit nicer. The light source even fits perfectly with the vector. I do think you should vector more often if it takes so much time to do it. You'll be able to work quite a bit faster while keeping the same good quality, so you can focus on other things aswell. Truly love the details and colouring...only if you used this bsckground right away, it could have gotten better grades since it looks quite a big bit better.
