My entry for MT Knockout Round 1. The theme was "Retro", where no vectoring/painting was allowed, so this was a pretty simple wall. I didn't really extract the character, just sort of blended the background, layered a bunch of grunge textures + went crazy with the brushes.

I tried messing around with it a bit since, but haven't really come up with anything to my satisfaction; I may give
it another whirl and add an altered version later.

Ahh, this is one of my favorite wallpapers from the round <3 What can I say, I have a soft spot for well-done grunge walls.
Really, I can't find anything to complain about. I like the text (it doesn't look lazy, IMO), the triangles on the left and the smudges on the right. Insta-fav from me! -

Late comment, I know, I just basically faved-and-ran this but better late than never haha. This is also one of my favorite entries because everything looks so well blended and the colors and composition are a killer.
