Full view, please. The thumbnail looks like poop. >_>

I didn't think I'd be back so soon with another wall but here I am lol. I've been browsing my folders the other day and when I got to this scan of Ed, something in me just screamed 'Oooh, vector it vector it vector eeeeet~' so there I was, opening my PS and staring on it. I've always liked the sketchiness of things but I never thought I'd wall something like it since I like my things neat and clean but something about his expression and the art style just pulled me in.

I changed some stuff from the original scan: the original is more monochrome but it looked a bit empty to me like that so I added some more colors to his eyes and hair. Vectoring all those hair lines was at the same time both fun and annoying as hell lol. I also made his neck a lot thinner since in the original his neck was just way too thick and weird looking and I decided not to do those crosshatch lines on it.
The background, oh the background...That's usually the problem with me when I'm not doing anything scenic and even then I'm always a bit lost, haha. So, after I was done with the vector of Ed, I stared and stared and stared at the background, trying to come up with something that would click with it. I don't even know anymore how many versions of background were made and discarded until I finally settled for this one. I remember going with a grungy one but it just clashed too much with the elegance of the whole scan so I scratched that and started anew. The title actually comes from the text in the original scan. Since I'm so notoriously bad at titles, I just decided to go with that and made the whole theme revolve around that so I hope I hope I managed to get that across with those two brushes I used (god bless good brushes). In the end, I spent about an hour playing with colors and blending modes until I chose this one and left it at that otherwise I'd never be done lol. You can also choose between a less colorful dark version and a 'light' version. xD

And that's it. Hope you like it and feedback is, as always, welcome.

The bakground thingies are brushes? they look like you painted them o:
I like all the vintageness this wall have, that dark blueish lineart is luv >w<
The only thing I would skip is that hair jumping up his head, his hair is too flowy/heavy to have that hair jumping for attention, at least that's how I see it @.@
Anyways, luuuuv this, and nice inspiration music btw.

At first, I thought he is a girl. then I read the tags 'edward elric' (what?!) and then 'doujinshi' (oh?) :D

Nice. I love the atmosphere. ^^ n the texts look well placed too.

OK, I first thought it was a girl. You definitely got me there.

As always: dayum, your vectoring's a lovely sight, especially on the hair and that lovely ribbon (gah, the way the yellow fades out near the knot <3). The few white strands contrast very well with the dark shading in the back.

This is going to sound awful, but I can see the background was a problem. Something about it doesn't sit right with me and I think it's the difference in shading and overall appearance. You see, the vector and circle are clean and sharp, while the brushes are soft and glowing. The halftone effect is a nice touch and it works, but I'm not too fond of the random butterfly or the color of the swirls against the color of the circle (it feels like my eyes are permanently arguing whether to focus on the circle or brushes).

Though the butterfly could just be my knee-jerk reaction from seeing so many older walls with butterflies (real or fake) in them. It does look nice near his eyes ;)

A grunge background would've been interesting to see, though your wallpapers are beautiful precisely because they're painted (among others). They give me the impression of looking at china figures, if that makes any sense.

Wow, this is Ed? Doesn't look like him at all but he's drawn so beautifully here. I love the background. It looks simple though you used quite amount of brushes there. Usually, I don't like brushes in wallpapers but you put them really well here. The typography looks nice too. <3

Absolutely beautiful work, as always! The vectoring is gorgeous and the typography is a perfect touch.
I actually love the background; it's abstract and elegant with a touch of playful.

    I love the peace and emotion in this wallpaper. You have done a good job on the execution itself as usual and are showing us a lot of creativity of various styles. I didn't see this one coming from you. It's definitely off for your doing but really well executed. The overal quality, text, colouring, vectoring, composition and mood are definitely about perfect. Congrats! I've got nothing to bash your wall with ; ;

got to say it's how you use your colors that really makes your stuff stand out good job.
