The character is from an old MT wallpaper I saved to my harddrive long ago, but sadly cannot find now that I'd like to link to it. (If you have the link, please provide it. I really want to credit the source.) She was originally in an aqua yukata, but that wasn't going to work with a bunch of red butterflies, so out came the magic wand and the airbrush.
The butterflies are from a screen cap of Tecmo's Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly (thank you Tecmo!). The kanji is just a simple sentence: The butterflies are beautiful.
I think it's a fairly nice wall as it is, but there's a lot of potential for improvement. I'd love some feedback, suggestions, comments and critiques to guide me towards version two.

Woo. Going on favs. Though it would be a little prettier with some sparkles and little red line light things, but it's still very pretty! @@
this one almost looks like it came from Kono Minikukumo Utsukushii Sekai...
ooh, its very simple but yet also has lots of nice little details.. i like how the butterflies that are up close are more out of focus and the ones closer to the girl are clearer.. really nice touch.. makes it look like someone was taking a picture of the girl. oh man.. that is such a nice touch.. i dont even know if you even intended it to be like that but hell its awsome like that..
prehaps the text should be blured a little since everything else in the wall has very mellow edge to it.. the text looks a little too sharp for me... great work in any case
you obviously put alot of work into this wallpaper,and it shows so keep up the good work!!
