I'm proud of this one because it not only has gained me a few new watchers on the DA but it also has me drowning in favorites on the DA

I was mostly inspired to draw this because of tumblr and the mass of fan art from the Don't Hug Me I'm Scared fandom. I thought the humanized version of the notepad looked pretty and interesting to draw. I don't really consider myself a member of this fandom however, the series is ok at most.

I drew everything here without stock images! YIPPIE And I'm so happy with how the sky turned out. The hair was a doozy to color. Seriously after I finished the hair everything else was a breeze.

Lineart drawn on- FireAlpaca
Painted in- Photochop CS4
Done via Wacom Tablet.

The mischievous look on her face is definitely an eye-catcher! The white parts of her eyes stand out a lot even in the thumbnail so I had to full-view it to get the full effect, haha. Kudos to you for painting her, the hair looks especially lovely, and the blood/collar is even more interesting (still haven't figured out which of the two it really is).

I'm having a bit of trouble with the point of view, though: is she outside and we're seeing her (and the scene) through a broken window, or is she reflected in a broken window? And if I had to give another critique: the stars, moon and window frame look a bit too crisp compared to the softer-looking painted parts (the clouds and the girl herself). BUT good call on including some mist near the window frames - too many people forget it, and the window ends up looking glassless. I'm on the fence about the cracks and spiderwebs, they're kinda creating too many focal points and draw the attention away from the girl (which is distinctive enough to be the focal point, IMO).

But aside from these gripes about the composition, I still think it's a pretty fun and intriguing wall. I'm not familiar with the fandom or the work that created it, but the girl and this whole piece make me curious and I kinda want to find out more about it :)

Luvs how you painted her, specially her hair *o*.. guess the spiderwebs should have a bit of opacity :3
