To start I like the title.
I like the anime too ^_^ what a coincidencethen, the texture on the wall is awesome.
I has that grungy effect to it but not so obvious.
Somewhat hidden.The char's intensity gives the wall unique mood.
OVERALL this is a NICe dark wall
But perhaps a monochromatic colors can do lot more to this wall : )

i thought so, hence i blued it a little but didnt want to take it all away from her face ~.^ which i acieved, i think..the screen did remain a little magentic..and greenish..i liked it that way, tried it on, and kept it :P

I haven't seen this image of Lain before. I agree that it's kinda of dark, but that's the feel ofthe anime. Question: what exactly did you change in the image, because I can't tell wich part was added...

^__^ ive changed quite a bit of the source..besides regula stuffs like size, cleanup, retouch..etc, i changed main color, and shades, lightened some areas that were too dark to start with and most important for this theme imo, added the little text on the right side of the monitor, titling what she is waching over, and reinforcing the idea of how simple it would be to close it, the world she is looking at. change perspective to her being outside..or rather above shal i say of the world..i was thinking to add some sort of "close?" dialog box to the screen but didnt feel like cluttering it too much..so i guess you didnt notice it that much so i must have blended it in quite well =]

Cool effects with the bg and colors. As electrastar said, it is kind of dark - but that's still a cool style effect! Great work! ^_^
