Commission work for someone on dA, his character Akito Kimura.
I finished the character fairly quickly, it's the background that gave me the most headaches. Loved all the tiny details he had like the piercings, the tattoos etc. The BG is Persona 4 inspired, pretty heavily referenced. I thought it went well with this character and his color scheme.
In the process of drawing the background I first drew a single television lineart, then pasted and distorted it about 20 times so I could make the composition. Next was erasing lines and adding new ones. When I got to the coloring part I was already exhausted XD
I'm happy with the outcome, maybe next time I won't reference an existing Bg but rather create an original one.
