Artist Comment
This is a wall done with the woman from Uemura Shoen's "Rokujo" (which is supposed to be the flames of desire). This piece is at the National Art Museum in Tokyo, and I found it to be one of the most beautiful paintings I have seen from that part of the world.
I do not know whether I did justice to this art in my wall, but all elements are taken from other asian art, with minimal effects and a fair amount of touchup. Hope you all like it as much as I like this painting.

this is great, i <3 asian art.
I wish there were more submissions like yours, after all anime style does take its roots from ukiyo-e and that stuff, great job editing it all, makes a great desktop <3 -

I really like the texture that is in the background. It really seperates the lady from it and keeps her as the main focus. I really like the concept, though I think she's a little scary looking chewing on her hair! ;) It is really a nice piece of art. Kudos for turning it into a wallpaper.
