i really like this anime ^^ and it's sad that there are only a few wallpaper from it! >-<

you can find the original picture here - it was uploaded by SquirrelLuvsPnut (thank you very much!)

it was a lot of fun to make this ... and i don't know why, but the eyeball (megu) looks kind of cute (for me) xD
i changed the background a little bit, but i think it fits also good...without the leaves at the top on the right i like it better, but this is a matter of taste.
i also wanted to create a relaxed atmosphere so i used many natural colors.
for the bg i also used wood and concrete textures

made with gimp
and i needed to much layers and to much time ^^

hope you like it!

Oho! I know this anime! I loved the first two episodes I've seen from this series and I hope I'll find soome time to watch the rest...

OK, to the topic - I like your vectoring; the lines are mostly smooth, although you proably still need to work on the edges. They look a bit -I don't know - jagged? On the other hand, the grass and the bamboo in the background are flawless.

Maybe I'd also change the use of smudge/blur. Instead of blurring the shadows on the characters, I'd blur the BG because that's less important than the characters. And you want the characters to stand out, right?

And lastly, I agree with you about the eyeball! It really is cute. :D

I agree with elisadevelon about the lineart - it's really nice but too jagged in places. Dunno if that depends on the program (GIMP) or something else but the jaggedness really detracts from the overall smooth feeling of the wall. Also, you could perhaps reduce the 'harshness' of lines by using lighter browns for skin instead of blacks and darker orange or reds for those creases on the orange part of the shirt. :3

And yeah, the blurriness of the background would look better - like maybe a soft blur on some of that grass (which looks awesome by the way indeed!) and a bit stronger one on that bamboo forest in the back. It would increase the depth of the wall and make the characters pop out more.

This really looks good overall, you've improved quite a lot so keep up the good work! :)

I guess they both have pointed out the mayr flaws lol, so I won't tell the same again xD.
I really like the bright colors of the characters, and for some reason it seems that crow wants to poke the furry ball's eye o:
also the bamboo and fence at the back looks very neat and nice :D keep it up!
