My entry for 'MTM FALLING INTO FALL 2013'.

Scan

I always wanted to vector this image and finally did it! The water was a challenge and I think it turned out pretty well, being vectored rather than painted. I hope it looks water-ish, if not, in a abstract way..
I added some trees for that 'abandoned and alone in the woods' kind of atmosphere.

I used all colours except green. However main colours used were the two purples(?).

The guy looks really good, though a bit lonely I guess you could say. His expression is nice, the lonely and abandoned feeling is successfully expressed though that, the white color used all around him and also by the trees in the background. His skin looks so smooth and the details there are really nice. The flowers also look very pretty. The kimono along with the swan gives a nice pop of color to the piece as well. I also like the little bit of color on the edges of the swan's wings. Very beautiful job Rosu-chan ^^

Amazing piece, I thought it was a watercolor painting at first ^^ there is so much white that it looks more like a winter theme or the moment spring comes to the forest than a fall theme to me. Looking at it I also have the feeling that we experience a bit of spiritual world.. he is so pale u know, maybe he is going to the other side right now O_o and the swan.. all is so beautiful and I kinda feel at peace looking at it ^_^ really stunning, the details are awesome too! congrats and good luck with the contest!

Holly shit I really love it. Nice touch, closing his eyes and the softness and the trees. Extend it and make it a wall!doitdoitdoit

I love the feelings conveyed by this illustration. Also the shading looks really great! I love the fact that you used just the right amount of color, the right tones in the right places... Good luck for the contest, and thank you for sharing!

I second Tina's comment - make a wall out of this, it would be so darn pretty! I mean, the vector itself is hella pretty already but I'd like to have this sitting prettily on my desktop, too~ *___*

Closing his eyes was indeed a nice touch, adds even more to the melancholy and coldness of the image, like he's slowly disappearing into the foggy autumn morning. And of course, your vectors are just so stunning there's no need to comment how awesome they are.

    Good luck in the contest!

That moment when the vector of an artwork looks better than the original scan.

Fantastic work; one of the best vectors I've ever had the pleasure of seeing.
