This is composed of a few scans I found on MT. Yeah, it's Gojyo and Sanzo. They go together like oil and water in the series, but they're my two favorite characters.
It took me a few hours to crop, clean up, arrange, strategically brush in color and add noise. Overall, this was probably 4 hour wallpaper, much longer than I thought it would take. But I'm feeling like a perfectionist today.
Because Gojyo is part water nymph, I tried to make it look like he was laying in water, instead of in sheets like in the original scan. I'm not sure how well I succeeded. I was trying to be abstract and hint at the movement of water, rather than just drawing water.
My only problems: I'm not sure how well the gears fit into the wallpaper, but I had so much trouble extracting them and re-cging the images that I decided just to leave them as is. Sanzo doesn't quite line up with Gojyo. The lines don't match. I didn't realize this until after I had spent 1.5 hours airbrushing on Sanzo and didn't want to scrap it all and redo it. Nothing would have lined up if I resized the image and I would have to start all over. I tried to CG more in on his shirt, and it just didn't look right. So, the boys aren't perfectly lined up. Please tell me what you think.

I can sincerely understand how one would take pains in perfecting a work of this calibre. Even the most simple looking styles can take forever! But Egnirys, after all that time and effort I think you've done a wonderful job! Your air brushing is tight, clean and sharp. I like the cogs in the composition and I also appreciate the work that went into making certain you had the water effect down solid. The caustic style colours are beautiful!

No, I'm pretty sure Gojyo was in the water in the original pictures. There are a pair of rocks nearby O-O Such pretty pics though...
