From the series, it was an action shot, and I wanted to get the motion and determination brought into a still -- something easy in anime, but a bit more challenging in still art. Since the base of the scan was taken from a frame in the anime, much time was spent in focusing in on detail.
They were both rushing toward a nasty beast.. and about to step into its mouth it
was so big... It had multiple legs that were fatal stabbing implements, to get that across, I tinged them with
poison-green with drops of the poison gathering near the tips.
