Wow, I like it. This wall has some feeling in it, I don't know hoe to explain it rightly, but it gives some
strength and resoluteness. And you've made a great job with the figure!
The only suggestion I could give is that you could have added some texture on the back walls of the poll, so that they
wouldn't look plain in comparison with the boy.
Anyway, thank you for this wallpaper !

I made this wall because i wanted to paint a scene under water, and Free! seemed to me the most suitable anime.
It was done with Paint tool sai (only the lineart) and Photoshop (everything else).
step by step (note: i don't
trace the swimmer of the photo, but I traced partially Haruka)

I was really amazed how you've reconstructed Haruka from that guy swimmer. I salute you for that. But standing underwater was not that very appealing pose for me. But, the underwater effect was just fine. As what @Jungheuchler said, textures on the walls of the pool will be more appreciated. Overall, your goal of painting an underwater scene was somehow achieved though some things needed to be fix.
P.S. Anime Free! release would be too soon, can't wait for summer.

The water is amazing! Really, props for that.
If I could suggest something it would perhaps blurring the swimming pool liners or either overlay a texture, like Jungheuchler suggested.
Other than that, this is excellent

This is absolutely amazing! I thought that there was a scan of Haruka standing like that! The way that you merged and completed your concept was really great. The water is beautifully done as well! The lighting, reflection, ETC. Like what the others have said before me, adding in more details to the BG would make it even more appealing and fuller than it is right now. Like maybe, adding in some lines to make the pool tiles rather than just a flat surface on which Haruka is standing on. Same with the walls of the pool. My other suggestion would be is to work more on the outlines of Haruka. Maybe giving him colored outlines OR discarding the outlines and work out your painting skills to give him that almost 3D look so that he would blend beautifully with the BG. :D
