Hmm. Such an appropriate title. Done all in opencanvas - with no sketch or anything. I love my tablet!
I had a bit of an Evangelion fix yesterday, and I really, really wanted to do a pic of Asuka - so voila! I actually stumbled across a working fansubbed copy of the Girlfriend of Steel Evangelion game, so I had a go at it - and GOD I hate Mana!! OOH, she's annoying!! But I remembered how much I liked characters like Asuka, Misato, Ritsuko and yes, even Kagi and Fyutsuki! Sooo, I then read the Eva manga again (god I love Yoshiyuki's art) and the new doujin one (for some reason, also called Girlfriend of steel, but nothing to do with the game).
Oh yeah, just remembered, those funny turny lines on asuka - It's kind of meant to be a memory, as though
she's just turned to face you, but you can't quite remember...well, that was the intended effect...dunno how
well it came out ^-^ She's hiding from the rain, beside Kagi's watermelon patch!!
Yeah. I know this pic isn't special, and it looks not much like Asuka, but hey! I had fun doing it!! (yes, that is
a little retarded NERV building in the BG)

It does look like Asuka, and of course I can also recognize your beautiful style. Another great work, especially the expression, though I think it looks a bit more complex than "just" sadness. And as usual, I really like the natural colours you used ^^.

It's a shame that I find this beautiful artwork now and not 24 weeks before. But better late than never, huh?
This is really beautiful. I like your style that changed the character design a bit but also left things to recognize Asuka. I also love the sad mood and the background. It is a really nice and quiet artwork showing Asuka from an interesting side. -

i love the character design change because it gives asuka a look of human proportions.. Seems to look very realistic and can easily fit the profile of a girl. Eventho the artwork is intended to portray her sad.. Kinda brings relief into our eyes. I love it and you should really focus on doing more like these. nice work
