Hey everyone!
I'm back with a new wallpaper from vampire knight. It's a picture of the manga chapter 88!
It's a lovely scene and the pic is so beautiful, so i decided to make this wall for a good friend! :D

I made this wall with gimp
and i needed 87 layers

here you can find the original picture from the manga

Hope you like it!

The poses are nice indeed, pretty bold of you to try an image like this one.
There is some serious jaggedness going on with the eyes, more on Zero than Yuuki.
I feel the whole wall lacks detailed shading/coloring, little things though like some shine on their hair
or deeper shades where the shade already is. Zero's mouth could've benefited a lot with some color as well.
You could have also added some lipstick on Yuuki to give her a sexier look.
All in all you did a nice job lining and coloring, just a bit more time spent and I feel it would've
    looked great.

Ohh, Yuuki and Zero~ I actually went and read that chapter just because of this image, lol.

As Kit had already mentioned, there is some jaggedness in the lines that is especially evident on Zero's eyes and eyebrows, perhaps blurring it a bit would do the trick. I'm not sure how GIMP works since I rarely use it but if you don't have programs like PS or Illustrator, I think I've seen Adobe offering their CS2 suite for free on their website so if you want it, I could give you a link to it. I hope they still offer it.

And yeah, your walling style reminds me of another waller who also likes to use just basic colors and shading and that's it - the end result always coming out as dull and bland. You could, for example, use various shades of purple and red for shading on Yuuki's hair (on another layer), putting the blending mode on 'Multiply' and tweaking the opacity as you see fit. The same works for everything else - shades are not just a darker shade of the same color, shades don't 'add' to the color - a lot of it depends on the overall setting and lighting of the scene.

This is technically a solid wallpaper but like Kit said, it would look a lot better if you 'spiced up' things a bit with more colors, shading and highlights. Don't be afraid to experiment with colors and techniques, it's always fun and rewarding when you get the hang of it! :)

Ah~ah i was beating to it haha!

I like the colours and how you've themed it light :)
Though it could use some high-lights in it.
I actually thought this was by a different user, you have a very similar style. It was a little surprising.

Hmmm.. the Background is a little bit to plain.... and i do not like the hilt of the sword, with that Brown Color...
