what an interesting piece, the detail to the staircase and the music notes on the sheet of paper are wonderfully done ! that's a rare feat to do, due to them being such a hard thing to accomplish and with such detail, outstanding ! the detail to the person is just as remarkable, I'm going to go out on a limb and say male? either way quite nice, he looks a little like Yagami from Death Note before he got older.

I apologize for the overwhelming mistakes in this in pretty much every aspect (:3｣∠) but I really wanted to have this up for the first day of 2013 (at least in my time zone) so here it is :D

This is pretty amazing Amy.
I think the perspective does for this piece, it's a nice and not often featured angle, and it turned out pretty good, is giving much depth to the wall. Also the herbs(looks like poison ivy?) is a nice touch, adds color.
I like a lot his eyes, very detailed, and his hair.

Lol, when I first saw this I thought "He doesn't seem to be making a big enough expression" but when I read your description of him I realized he's probably not the type to make big expressions XD
The colors are very soft and fresh, I like the concept and I think you executed it rather well.
I really adore the addition of the leaves on the pillar, adds life and more color into the piece.
