Hi!
I just love this picture, especially the contrast between the red (flowers and clothes) and white.
So I made the vector to make this wallpaper, I chose keeping the original BG (painted and vectored). I tried to keep the original atmosphere, and worked on the whole to achieve this result in playing with contrast, saturation and colors.
That's a "Winter" wallpaper, and I hope you'll like it!

oh my another beauty from Cilou ! I have a feeling this one is going to be elited shortly ;) the detail you put into a piece is just outstanding ! even though it's got a winter feel to it, the red stands out twice as much against all that snow ! well done

The background is looking very good, though it doesn't have the misty air and snowfall from the scan, so it seems a bit empty, and the lighting isn't quite there. The flowers also seem closer to wires from havig a darker and dull coloring, which you can see on the character's kimono and scarf as well, as it's close to being a lump of whiteness. The parasol doesn't have any naturalness to it, just like her flower tiara, making the coloring of the entire picture seem artifical, so even the character is out of place. Still, nice wallpaper.
