I just recently watched trust and betrayal then went on to search for scans of these two. Eventually I found this scan which was too good to pass up xD. I spent probably 6-9 hours on vectoring the outlines. I spent the rest of Christmas Eve on vectoring the colors and making airbrush retouches. Then I proceeded to paint a snow background. At first I thought of doing white trees, but it just looked strange, so I painted 4 green trees covered with snow. I started to making simple clouds in the background. Then, it still felt empty in the back, I added more trees. Made some smudge adjustments to the clouds and added streams in the sky. Coloring + background would be around probably 7-12 hours. Finished within 3 days span. Everything was done in Photoshop CS5.

oh my what a peaceful winter piece ! I can see how it got elited, I love the beauty and the detail to the snow. it's nice to see some old school anime getting some more love.
