My fine arts professor once made it quite clear to me, 'if you have an emotional response to a particular work that you view, it's art'. The subject seems to be caged; and, when looking at the background,the birds also are contained and yet make beautiful music when confined. Perhaps he, the subject, will be the next to be released from his prison. I love the detail as much as I do the exquisite irony. Highest marks, thank you for making us all appreciate true art.

I wanted to create an effect of the violin pulling the birds' soul in, or give soul to the birds. But I
couldn't make that work without disturbing everything else xD
TAT they seem so motionless ;u;
Hm I eventually named this character during my summer school days, just gotta find those notes.

I like the birds, reminds me of CLAMP's mechanical elements in Clover.
The only thing I'd like is for the sky to be darker to really be more announced.
It looks very nice and colorful but I can't really make out the movement or where it really is. -

you did a wonderful job on the birds and cages, that's where my attention drifted towards first. as for the rest of the piece, you did a remarkable job on the violin, bow and sting, that's a hard one to do sometimes. even did a good flow of hair on the dude as well +fav
