Hours: I lost count. But a lot cause I had one background then I changed it cause I didn't like it so I had to redo
the characters.
Update: I fixed a few things. But I can't fix the background to look more like the characters.

Thanks :)
Its not floating. It's behind the clouds. -

This really is a change from your previous walls. I love the background, it looks really nice and you were able to combine it very well with the characters and brushes. Maybe you could crop it a little on top and make also a widescreen version because there's too much of the blue sky right now. Just two things to point out - that single cloud almost above the castle looks kinda doubled so maybe you'll want to fix it somehow and maybe remove the outer glow around the birds as well. Otherwise it's a gorgeous wall. :)

I have to agree with Elisa, this is a huge difference from your previous work. In definitely a really good way.
The biggest thing I notice about this wallpaper is it's got this retro feel to it. This reminds of a lot of wallpapers from back in the day, with how the style itself is done. It's a real treat for us oldies. You did a nice job combining the Rukia and Ichigo images to the background and merging them into it as well. The use of brushes was also a nice choice too as well to help add that extra something to it as well. You used them pretty sparingly as well and I'm glad you did.
However, there is one thing that does stand out. Because the artwork for The Place Promised in Our Early Days is so much different from Bleach, the characters stand out from the background. What I mean by this is that the background itself has this painted look to it, where the characters themselves are vectors. While you did a very nice job merging the two together, it does slightly stand out as a result. The same sort of goes with the birds as well. By no means is this a bad thing, as you took a big leap in terms of experimenting and I consider this to be a success!
Another thing I'd recommend is working in a larger resolution. Widescreens are becoming more and more common these days, and resolutions are greatly increasing in size as well. Offering a bigger wallpaper in a widescreen resolution can be worked with by anyone, and can also be easily trimmed down for 4:3 resolutions too.
This is seriously a huge step forward, and if you refine this style you'll go far places. This is definitely nicely done and you did a great job incorporating such widely different elements together. Keep up the good work, Dra!

looks like your tweaking of photoshop is paying off, I can see you paid closer attention to things this go around, nicely done. not a bleach fan, but I really like the attention you did to this and I don't see any of those annoying jagged images which can sometimes spark off here and there. the sig blends with the wall oh my !

I think the scan could be closer to us, but I do like how they look involved in the BG rather
than just in front of it. Your signature on bottom should be whiter color, just so it sticks out more in the corner.
Also to me there's too much empty sky, looks like something is missing rather than showing how vast the sky is.
As everyone mentioned it is a big change of style to take on and I think you did it well, I hope we continue to see more.

I'm sorry I didn't leave a comment before, I was really busy and I'm a little lazy, too :p
But I have to say that you did a really good work here! Yah, there are things that can be improved it more, but you really reach a "new level" with this work :D
I like to see finally a "photomanupolation" wallpaper made with some effort and care for particulars!
Keep it up! -
