Hi!

I'm actually on holidays, so I've time to make walls!

Thanks to Roler-Crown-Black for submitting this wonderful scan!http://gallery.minitokyo.net/view/590738

It catched my attention, especially the dancing couple! So I vectored it in making the extensions. Then I wanted to make an inside BG, a warm atmosphere. I drew and vectored all elemants, and worked on the perspective... that was the most difficult. I drew all texture of the flooring that was very long (I first make a stone floor, but I finally changed because it was not enought warm). I drew and vectored the curtains, chimney (so long too!), the roses, bowl, candlestick, fire effetcs, the chair and sofa and the mirror in paying my attention to the perspective. Then I emphasized the whole atmosphere, warm and happy. I wanted to make the feeling they're on a luxurious castle during a intimate dance.

I hope I succeeded and that you'll like it!

I like the colors here of Lacie's dress and the couch, though there is a bit too much red and orange to the entire wall. The candles are really well done and give off nice light. Lacie's hair as far as the color is nice, but way too jagged looking. I really like the purple sky that you can see through the window, it looks very nice. I also really like all the roses. But I think Jack's mouth looks a bit weird and his hair seems too bright. The fire in the fireplace should be giving off a bit more light. The mirror reflection doesn't make a whole lot of sense either. Overall though, it's a nice attempt, but with your skills it could look a lot better.

I have to say that I really like what you did with the candle in the front; it really adds dimension and lighting, not to mention that the purple sky is lovely. However, there are a few things that I'm seeing that I think could use a bit of work:

+The candles are all well done, which makes me a little sad that the fire from the fireplace doesn't affect the lighting as well.
+The mirror reflection. Tbh, it doesn't seem very logical, and since it's in the middle of the wallpaper it attracts a lot of notice. I think it could have worked if the people had just not been in the mirror at all.
+The textures, while a nice step to giving depth, seem inconsistent. The fireplace and the clothes are textured, but then all the other marble and cloth in the wall is very flat, making a very stark contrast that's a bit distracting.
+The pillar in the back closest to the fireplace looks like it is not straight and gets smaller at the bottom...maybe you intended for it to be this way and as if it were partially obscured at the bottom by the curtain, but I wasn't sure.
+The inside of a mouth is not skin toned. (I realize that that sounds overly blunt, but I couldn't think of how else to say it. I apologize for that.)

I realize that a lot of this sounds nitpicky coming from someone who doesn't submit wallpapers, and I honestly don't mean this as a personal attack in any way. However, I believe that you have talent and after 200 walls, I believe that you can start taking your walls to a higher level if you try. :) Good luck!

Thank you very much! I like colours and background, especially fireplace))
    Clothes are beautiful too.
But I think Jack's mouth is too big, isn't it? On original scan its big too, but here it is more visible.
And the girl isn't Alice. It is Lacie Baskerville, Jack's sweetheart))

I really love this picture of Lacie and Jack, I'm glad someone made a wall of it!

Snickerdoodle already pointed out most of the mistakes that need more work but I would also like to point out something else I've seen you constantly use in your wallpapers - namely, you really need to stop using those horrible red and orange overlays over your whole wallpapers. They only ruin overall colors and make everything look too saturated and burned out - looking at this, I feel like Jack's hair is going to start burning in flames every minute.
Those overlays also mess up with your lineart - if you look at the reflection in the mirror and especially Lacie's hair, you will see that the lines are horribly jagged and sharp, feels like they could cut through metal. I suppose you want to achieve warm lighting from candles and all, but like this you're definitely doing it wrong. This whole wallpaper would look so much better color and lineart-wise if you got rid of that awful color overlay. It's a shame, really, because the scene is really nice and could've looked so much better if you worked on it more.

Much of the crit has been mentioned already, but I had to comment to say- I love that hair. The shading and coloring are spot on, very lovely. Great composition of elements as well, and you put a lot of thought into the candles and fireplace details.

Regarding the texture overlays, it's not actually bad to use them, though they do need some work done to make them fit in a wallpaper as I mentioned when discussing my F/Z wall.

As for the lighting issues, you can make the fire and the candles' glow more pronounced by making the rest of the wall a little darker! A new Multiply layer with a black gradient on top of your other layers would help tremendously. It's really a very nice concept, just needs some tweaking to be even better. :)

This wallpaper looks very nice, but Jack's face just creeps me out. T_T I wish there were another version of this WP, with Jack having his mouth closed... Anyway I'd be happy to see any other versions, improved and mastered. *_*
I wish you inspiration and good luck. ^^
