I like the fowers but I think they as well as the water needs more detail. The flowers would benefit from a bit more shading and detail though. And for some reason Hakurei's fingernails look weird to me... I do like how you did her hair though, it's very pretty.^^

Hi There ^^
So...this is a wallie I'v made a Month ago but for an unknown reasons i didn't submit it back then(i guess
it's my laziness "^^)
OH..WELL.....here it is,my Touhou's wall ;3
i actually were just searching in Kurehito+Misaki gallery,and then i just found this awsome scan CLICK HERE ^^
I really loved it,specially i kinda like this Girl(never played the game but i like her design)so started vectoring,it
kinda took me a 3-4 days to finish(lots of layers(i like to use them ))
I Loved vectoring this Scan and it just went smoothly -^.^-(...My golden days whee there
no annoying parts while vectoring T-T...)
Most things i enjoyed vectoring was the shadows on the White-Long-Things on her Hand(i just loved these shadows for some
reason)
I liked the whole making of her dress(specially the Shadows and the Ornament)
the hair was a bit different from the usual(guess!?)....
Well,for the petals...i guess it's obvious that they aren't from the original scan
Actually..after vectoring the original petals,well..they just looked "Awful"!
so i searched for a nice scan insted and, Wallah ..I found This Cool Kur Scan ^^I only vectored a few of them Cuz i didn't
want to be there lots of Petals(hope there isn't much)!
for the moon,i just felt like adding it to Show that this is a water or such(without moon it didn't really seem as
a water @.@),i hope it's okay to you guys ^^
OH..well,,,this is it.i really hope you like and enjoy my Touhou wall,and as always:Comments and Favs are very welcome

Yea, major work still could be done to this wall.
The flowers really could use some shade and detailing, especially since they're so
close...that's the first thing I noticed. The water could use more ripple, right now it just looks like she's
standing on a floor with as smudged white blob in the corner.
Try getting some cloud brushes next time, I can tell you used the photoshop "cloud" effect which
doesn't really make it look anything like clouds, more like a space BG.
The girl's hair could use some moon shine, try taking a look here - http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/1295/basiclightingtut.jpg
For some tips on how to add light properly on objects, A nice moon shine would've really helped to tie her in nicely with the moon.
If there's no moonlight the reflection of the moon is pointless really.

The vector is pretty nice but I agree with Kit about some things like adding more details to those flowers that seem closer to the viewer (and shading it accordingly to the light source), and the flower stems are too green for this time of night and setting and shaded wrongly (it's called pillow shading). There needs to be more ripples on the water but most of all - the top of her hair/head needs some of that moonlight reflected from above, as well as her clothes.
I've said it before but please don't rely on that waller's style too much, it's quite inaccurate in so many things; develop your own style and don't be afraid to experiment with colors, shading, lighting and styles! Keep it up! :)
