I had no idea 8 August was your birthday until a few hours ago u__u. Luckily I had your present in the works from about last month or so, so I finished it up o/.
It's Saber! ...What, you can't recognise her? orz
I just wanted to paint Saber in a semi-realistic style, and recognisably European.. It, it's not very faithful to
the original design >A<;;; Here's a WIP shot - I think I thinned her face a little
too much in the final paint session ;~; Saber forgive meee, it looked all right at 100% wei wei.
I hope you like your birthday gift, Cy. ^^;;; Tho ofc you like getting Saber for your bday yeah? :x

Time taken: idk, plus it all together = less than half a day, I
suppose.
References: a lot of staring at Saber scans and more staring at model
photos. I had an altogether different pose and angle in mind, and collected pics for that, but it didn't go that
way nope :o
Lessons learnt: Semi-realism level up! Lacework and fabric .... dubious
though somewhat enjoyable progress.... Also, it's confirmed that I'm hopeless at lineart on tablet so.
Favourite bit: Saber's eyes. The lacy bits in the corners.

aww skies gave us something ! it's so cute too, I'm not a fan of blue by any means but you did a wonderful job at this piece. until reading the info I didn't know it was saber and cb's b-day. happy belated bday to cb too !

I love how her dress turns into the waves! And her hand looks really well done too. (It sounds kinda weird to compliment a hand, but a lot of times people seem to have trouble with hands, so...>.<) And all the details and shading, lovely ~
I do kind of agree with Leaf though about the lips seeming a tad off. Same with her left eye-the one on our right. Doesn't change that this is really cool, though. :)
