About the wallpaper
I think this is my first drawing with a full background haha... and it took me almost 5 days to finish. I still need to learn a lot, especially how to draw trees. The trees you see here belong to version 3, the first two versions were horrible @_@

Tools: Photoshop, SAI

Lovely, Yina! Everything looks so smooth and wintry. The trees kind of remind me of infrared photos. =o

That sky.... That tree... That snow... That background and setting..... and that boy's scarf (literally it's like the first thing i notice ROFL) OMG...

Lovely painted sky, and those trees are gorgeous. I like how u make the "into the distance" background. I kinda have somewhat a very chilly, but at the same time nostalgic feeling everytime i see walls with these background.
Loving the stones' details... My my, everything is flawless. This reminds me of a set of wallpapers that was featured in this song

Though may i suggest that it'd be lovely if the signatures weren't line up on the railings, but instead imprinted on the stone walls.

BUt everything is flawless and beautiful.

Awesomness, I love the wide view you give the audience.
Rather than just a flat scene we're given a deeper look into their surroundings and they look cold!

One thing that always enjoyed me about your work was the incorporation of your personal artwork. In my mind, you were one of the pioneers of that in terms of walling, and it was always a pleasure watching you progress while molding your style. Back during AP Clash, I remember seeing this wallpaper and it just knocked me out. Flat on my butt, to be exact. It carried such weight of emotion, and yet let the drawing itself do all of the talking for it. It really displayed how much you grew as an artist, and it was a privilege to see.

So, seeing you return to Minitokyo and AnimePaper was not only wonderful, but to see you return in full force like this is even better. One thing needs to be stated right now, and this is by far your strongest piece you've done yet. I have to agree with Tsu in that elements on this piece look a lot like the infrared photos taken, and I think that's what makes this so mystifying. While I no longer live in a place that snows like that, my favorite season will always be winter. As for this piece, you perfectly captured the essence of what makes winter so great, and that's how snow beautifully blankets everything in a pure white fluff. Nothing reflects this better than the way it covers the trees in the background, and the way it softly embraces the ground.

One thing I truly adore about this background as well is, while you could of made a path in the snow showing a trail, you covered everything up. I cannot begin to praise you enough for doing that. It really gives the impression of a fresh snow fall, and how everything is completely covered, yet you can still get a general sense of where a path would normally be by the location of the trees in the further parts of the background. I may be yammering on about this, but I have to say this is probably one of my favorite uses of snow in a background ever. Dare I say this is my favorite winter scenery ever.

I also really love the detail to the wall itself. Being able to make out the foundational material used to build the wall is a huge plus for me. It gives the wallpaper a greater feel of texture and detail. I also like the wooden style gate/fence created as well. You've got so many different styles of textures in here, it's just a visual treat to see. It would of been easy to just go overboard with the snow, but you let a lot of the scenery shine with it.

So with all of that mentioned, what about the characters? Boy do they look great! My only recommendation would be for the gentlemen, his kneecap sticks out just a tad too much. Perhaps also to have a bit of rosy red on their cheeks as well, although I can see why you didn't. Otherwise, these are simply stunning characters. I especially love how cute the girl's winter outfit is, and their body language is fantastic too. You get a great sense that they're good friends/possibly something more, and you can feel that bond just by how they're positioned. Seriously, the characters do not take a backseat to anything.

Overall by far your strongest piece yet. You really went all out with it, and it certainly shows. You never cease to amaze with your talents and the only thing I can say is Welcome Back, Yina. You were very well missed.

WINTER. SNOW. CLOUDS. BLUE. WHITE. So many points of mine ticked off in one wall and well done at that and I can't help but fall in love.
