"His senses were so weak he only noticed there was a vampire sneaking closer to him when a fireball passed too close to his face for comfort.

Alarmed he looked in ahead only to be graced with Chunhei being surrounded by small flying fire balls, he looked back at the smell of burned vampire, smirking at the pile burning up not that far from him. The petit vampire looked back at the mage noticing more fireballs were sent flying in all directions. The mages were back from the spiritual world and by the way Sulolia was grinning while watching the fight from a fountain nearby – happily sitting on a mermaid's shoulder and having her little legs going up and down in excitement – he guessed they had done their part just fine."

That is part of a novel i worte in collaboration with a friend of mine and since that moment played in my head i couldn't really make the image of Sulolia like that go away. Recently we started to post the novel up and we're nearing that part of the story so this little spirit started to bug me to draw her. Sulolia is described in the story as a spirit whose human form resembles a child with white long hair, tied up in two ponytails and bright purple eyes, since this piece is monochrome i couldn't show you the awesomeness of this combination.

at first i had considered addting to the piece the burning vampires and the fireballs, but then decided against because first i drew sulolia and the mermaid (yes this is a mermaid please don't kill me if it's not looking like one lol) just too big on the paper, and second the smoke and whatnots would hide the background and take the attention away from the fountain (plus i like water much more than i like fire lol)

it had been forever since i drew something as in my last drawing was around December/January because of wintry wonderland contest (being it the entry for the contest if i am not mistaken)so despite the long period without handling a pencil i'm really satisfied with this piece.

made in white paper 200g, used a lot of pencils (4B, 6b, 7b and 8b specially for shading the trees) and an eraser lol

thank you for reading this long comment lol and i hope you'll like this one

Very great drawing! Good atmosphere, the contrast between the black and white looks very good.
