My second wall, and my first wall a) In colour, b) Using an extracted scan.
Used a scan from the El Hazard Illustrations artbook (via El Hazard Online again) which I then extracted and cleaned up. I added the white glow purely to let it stand out better. Plus I like the added effect ^_^ V.
Made the starfield from scratch (thanks to Greg Martin's awesome starfield tutorial) and played around with light effects. Added the text, and poof, there you have it.
Took me a good 8 hours to make spread over the course of about 3 days.

not bad not bad, youre getting better fast n_ni see several noob elements like the lensflare ad the huge glow but after all like dustie said, u are one..

Too much lens flare :P If you blended them to make them less noticible that would be great. But for your first starfield, quite good.

so this is what u got in the end huh? not bad. the starfield is pretty nice. the flares are not bad at all. i certainly hope to see some planets next time. XD great job on this space wall though. u deserve a fav hehehe.

VERY Impressive Raven. I must say I'm VERY glad to see you walling. First thing I thought when I heard you were walling "Hooray! Finally MT'll get some El Hazard walls!" =D Jeeze for a second wall you show simply amazing talent and natural skill as an artist. Though this doesn't come as a surprize to me consider its you =P. VERY nice effects to say the least, great use of the colors and of course as everyone stated, improvement comes with time. Though starting off so good already I look very foward to more wonderful walls from you Raven, though aside of it all I really love the feel of it. Just feels so natural and what can I say? Great scan placement and it looks great as well and the background is quite colorful and for using flares for the first time its amazing. Favorite for me.

great work on the extraction! the bg isnt noobish at all(except the lens flares), just the starfields seems too dense and way too artificial.

I see raven getting fond of greg martin stuff XD. pretty good for a beginner like you. My first wallpapers looks like crap. It would've been nice If you incorporated some water + earth + wind with this wall. not bad way to go ravie!
