So, I've had this song stuck in my head for the past 2 weeks, so I decided to make a wall. Naturally.
And also I needed more male characters in my gallery :/
Haven't touched Photoshop in a while, so this was a bit frustrating.
I wanted to try for a sharper feel, and this scan had a lot of lovely contours, so there was a minimum amount of blurring involved. However, my critic didn't really like the sharpness or the starkness, so I'll probably be uploading darker/softer versions later on in the week o3o. Expect a widescreen version as well!

*EDIT (well, really more like a note, but -- ): I'm swamped with research and exams right now, so the widescreen and alternate versions probably won't be put up until late next week, sorry guys ):
And also : I must admit I am somewhat offended by some of the comments I've gotten about the authenticity/originality of this wall and it's concept (this is mostly directed towards AP). Yes, I am /well/ aware that this scan has been walled before, and by wallers I consider extremely talented and hold in the utmost regard. However, this wall was in no way shape or form meant to be a copy or a "remix" of those previous walls, nor was it meant to be an attempt at a "better" version. It's just supposed to be different. There are bound to be similarities since I used the same scan, that is unavoidable. As for the concept, as I described above, I picked this scan because it most matched the feel I was going for with the song I had in mind. Not anything incredibly thought out or anything, but I can assure you I wasn't attempting to steal from anyone. Sorry if it seems like I'm overreacting, and I don't mean to offend anyone in return.
*EDIT 2 : Uploading of alternate and widescreen versions are postponed indefinitely, since my Photoshop trial ended and I am currently unable to edit the wall.

I agree that it does look rather stark, but probably because I expected more saturated colors and I might've considered placing cherry buds on the branches for example, so they aren't as bare. And I have no problem with the sharper vectored style, but it does kinda make his mouth look almost like it's frowning some how... O.o Will be interesting to see what other versions you have planned, and looking forward to the widescreen version as well (hopefully not cropped, but extended)! -

Lol, the contours do look pretty defined and all but somehow, you still managed to make the whole wall look so soft and gentle. Can't wait for another versions, too~ xD

oh my, to take such minor colors and turn it into such a master piece, quite impressed and well done. I adore the color combinations, it's a very soft and gentle piece, so going to fav !

I LOVE how fluid the vecotring is, it adds a sort of abstract-feeling to the wallpaper. If I could suggest something it would be perhaps creating a soft transition from the hair to the background :3 I'm pretty jealous on how you were able to pull out a wallpaper while having exams ; A;

I love what you did with the character! For some reason I'm not digging the branch as much, but it's not out of place or anything. Everything else flows perfectly. Amazing job! :D
