Now, this is a mixed techinique: Faber-Castell Watercolor pencils and watercolor for the background. I always wanted to try this sunset-purple shadows because I love the effect. I named him Soren, but then I heard that there was an anime male character with the same name (don't know about the features) so... just for the record, this particular guy was based a little bit on the Apocalyptica band fellows.

You should have added a mixture of white and lemon, then cap off a bit with light scarlet for a deeper lighting, but otherwise,OHGODIAMNOTALONE QQ *hug*

I can see how it became part of the elite community, but first and foremost I love the avatar it's just too cute, second the piece at hand, I really enjoy the lighting and detail to the piece. the idea of using water color pencils and then water color for the background caused the piece to become that much better and brighter. very nice.

This is really gorgeous! I like the character and the way you coloured him is so amazing! It seems like he's looking at the fire!
