Like I've said in the past I'm really gone from anime, I haven't watched stuff in eons mainly because I don't have time and I find it boring but I decided to give this one a shot, especially because the original art was done by Lily Hoshino and she's flawless to me.
I was pleasantly surprised and glad I watched this. It's a beautiful series, with a ridiculously interesting plot. AND IT HAS PENGUINS, WHO CAN RESIST BLUE CUTE PENGUINS?! ; A;
At any rate, since I'm not used to watch new anime I was totally surprised by the ending cards! I was like "...wait, is that a Lily Hoshino illustration for Mawaru? *fangirls*" I honestly want to wall them all, because they are lovely but then I watched episode 11 and that ending card was perfect, the expressions of the fake twins won me over.
I have to say I'm uber glad of the quality of nowadays screenshots, I mean, walling a 1280x720 px screenshot is not
even a pain anymore :D

First off, no one can resist cute blue penguins. Which makes me wonder why in the world I haven't seen this show.
Second, and more on topic, I love the texture the penguin background adds and the splashes of color. Very nice job! :)

Even though I love green, your color changes look much better = yay for new desktop! The vectoring's also very clean and, well, I just love how smooth you made the outlines.
Ooh, I love the minimalistic approach here and the typography makes it all look even more stylish and elegant. Gawd, I don't even remember when was the last time I watched any anime, been only devouring manga like a mofo. Maybe I'll give this a chance when I find some time; I mean, if it has penguins in it, it's gotta be awesome. XD

FRAN I REALLY LIKE YOUR WORK SO I'M GOING TO COMMENT TWICE.
What's this? Fran decided to be all six different kinds of amazing and make a Mawaru wallpaper? Well now, why didn't I see this before? Seriously, why didn't I because this blows my mind on so many levels.
So first off, one of the things I've appreciated in recent years is the increase in quality of resolutions for anime. Taking screenshots for whatever purpose isn't as much of a pain, and look at that. You went and took all that sexy green and made it even more sexy with hints of blue and red. It's an even bigger plus to those of us who watched the series, since the colors fit them both perfectly. Both gents are looking good as well, as you did a nice job cleaning all of that up and giving them a more refined look.
While I was a big fan of the original with it's use of Gestalt principle, I really appreciate the inclusion of the visual pattern in the background. Not only does it give it that little extra oomph, but it also looks really slick and helps the guys stand out a bit more, which I think was rather necessary in this case. I've been a huge fan of typography lately and the way you utilized the text is absolutely flawless. I'm a huge fan of excellent text choices, and coloring, and boy you were well beyond spot on for these. Serious business there.
So honestly, while it's a simple piece it's got so many perfectly nailed elements that really take this piece above and beyond. It's nice to see these guys getting some love too, instead of just Himari getting all of the attention. It's even nicer to see you walling again, Fran. I really like it!
