Hello Minna~! Here am I with my entry fo the Wintry Wonderland contest~! :D
I drew a Yuki Onna, a character from Japanese Mythology that is said to haunt snow swept mountains during blizzards to devour (I think) careless men who dare to follow her. The description is often given as "a beauty with snow white skin and whose hair is dark as the night, dressed entirely in white", so there you have it.
My Yuki Onna killed a brave samurai who went after her by turning him into a snowman, and is now making fun of him. XD
For the title, I used "Yukigeshou", which means "Snow Make up", that is used to describe a mountain when it's totally covered up in snow.
I also tried to make the work following this Art Nouveau style... not sure if I succeeded, though. :P
An example of a yukigeshou scene: http://www.being-a-broad.org/wp-content/uploads/2011/10/card_hagiwara_4_yukigeshou_b.jpg

I was hoping that you were going to be able to enter the winter fest I'm glad you got something in there ! this one is quite adorable too, the little katana stacked against the side of the snowman is just a perfect ending. I rather like the detail you put into your pieces and the fun as well as the imagination they spark. well done

I like this style of yours with the girl's character design being lanky and doll-like - reminds me a lil of SE Asia's shadow puppets lol. The composition is nicely done too, understated but bringing the eye to the little elements you use. I don't see the Art Nouveau in this piece much, but the swishiness of the kimono and the scarf, with her pose, are still lovely. :)

The folklore-ish story ends up being kind of cute (even though obviously, there is character death :x) and I love the little things you put in; like that rabbit in the moon, and that moustache on the snowman. :3c
