Simple can be good, doesn't bring too much attention from the character.
In this case, the background is the same colours as her shirt, perfect combination.. I really like this wallpaper, just I think the text brush could use a little less opacity to make it even better!

It's interesting...but the text takes away from here. If it was more faded or there wasn't as much text, then it would be better. It's just too cramped.

She do look beautiful and pretty with her long, smooth, shining blue hair, in the light yellow dress, and her eyes give the feel of warm and full of loving. Fantastic. However, the background is too rough, although it's still fine, it maybe will be better with the scene of nature.
