wow the background is really cool, the neon color is nice. i think this is very original. maybe you could add a bit blur into the back, then i'd be perfect xD

oh I don't know, I think the background actually contributes more to the character's depth and detail in my opinion. perhaps adding a background might have actually taken away from the character. over all nicely done.
