Artist Comment
Recently, I had a renewed interest in You're Under Arrest. I also read a fanfic written around 2002 about how our policewomen are working through the FIFA World Cup around match venues, so it gave me the idea of showing the 2 couples as what they would look like if they were working around major venues at the 2012 Olympics in London through a special assignment on loan by the Tokyo MPD to the London Met Police.
Of course, I also considered about Natsumi, Miyuki, Ken and Shouji being promoted to higher ranks since. Shouji wears the Chief Inspector rank (the equivalent of Captain) while the others have the Inspector (or Lieutenant) rank on their shoulder epaulettes. I was always fascinated by the trademark English high-visibility coats, so I felt it was appropriate to draw Ken and Miyuki with the coats.
