good to see another work of yours to appear here on mt :) I have seen your other original stuff in the past and this one is no exception. I like the detail to the body of the centipede. I like how you take japanese culture/myth and do an original piece on it. can't wait for the next piece :)

Heeeellooo miiinnaaa~!
Me again, this time with a huge work. Literally, cuz I scanned it with twice the usual resolution~!
Took me 10 days to finish this piece...
Anyways, her name is to be read "ScolopEndra", and was based on a centipede. The word scolopendra refers to a genus of those arthropodes (they are NOT insects) and a homonymous demon of the PS3 game Bayonetta (which takes the shape of, you guessed it, a centipede), thus her, well, lower half.
I drew her in a way to contrast the ugly-bug-full-of-legs side from the pretty-face-and-body part, but yet to make her pretty nonetheless.
Other possible titles were "Obyzou" (the name of a female demon) or "The Garden of Sinners" (too cliché).
Trivia~
-she has 50 legs
-the statues on the right (the woman with a snake) is called "La Pythie", that translates into "The
Pythoness" to English (or something like that). Google it, it's culture.
