This is my first wallpaper ever on GIMP. I normally use a different program for my art, but I gave GIMP and try and THIS was the tragic results >__>
Well, I used this vector, this texture and this arrow. The rest is simply (very) simple brush work.
I hope everyone likes it. Comments, especially critics, are appreciated.

It's really great for your first time using GIMP! I like the BG. It's very well done. But the arrow is too jagged, as well as some parts of the vector's outline. Unfortunately, I don't use or know anything about GIMP. So I can't help you in a specif way. But try to smooth the the arrow & outline somehow. I'm sure there many people out there use GIMP and definitely would help you!

Looks great! I really love the simple background and the vector's style you chose goes really nicely with this. As for the jaggedness on the arrow, I had this problem a while back ago with a wallpaper that used arrow brushes. It looks like you stretched a brush out, or oversized it. You can always vector over it. Even if you really have never tried vectoring, its pretty simple just to vector over an arrow. I hadn't thought of it but someone happened to point it out to me. You can do this on gimp as well. Love the wall though!
Another Kunie wallie! YAY! I'm so happy to see any work featuring her art... and yours is no exception. The background is simple and enhances the vector's colors. Besides, the diagonal gives some kind of flow, the impression that she is falling. A really nice job, indeed! Thank you for sharing!
