I think concept of that poster is really amazing and very creative, and even through my wall is not that good, I hope I at least reached level high enought to not be embarassment for original poster :3
To be honest, at first I though making this will be easy, because guidelines to follow this kind of style are rather clear. Only after finishing most of it, I was able to tell how my WIP was hurting my eyes and how original was not. After lot of adjusting I managed to get to state that I'm happy with, but I would never be able to make it as great as original. I also decided to add some aspects on my own, like fading of figure in the back with bg and not using red text.
Also to note, I usually put some thinking into titles of my wallpapers, but here I read about Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy title origin only after finishing my wall completely, which is why I didn't appreciated how clever original title was and made mine rather simple-minded.
Was made in one evening :3

hahah damn cool wallpaper! gotta agree that it kinda hurt the eyes especially the hair potion. I think cause the hair is white-ish and it constrast with the bg (especially since it is made up of numbers and letters) and also because it takes up a large potion of the wall (even when I look at the advertisement, staring at the white portion for a long time does hurt the eyes). maybe set it such that the constrast is lower (lighter shade of gray for the background? or dark shade for the hair? or hide some portion of the hair in shadows?) haha dunno if it helps :/

That's actually a really cool idea, I like how you hid some words in amongst the numbers that make up her face that further tell what she is feeling and what the anime is about. Of course I could have just been over thinking it and it was just cool.
