Wow... I have no idea how long it's been since I've submitted something here to MT. Well.. I hope you guys like this one!

Featuring Kazama Chikage from the anime Hakuouki.

I've also submitted this to DA, with this comment to go with it:
"I really hope you guys like this as much as I do (but I'm probably biased because it's Kazama :3).

I worked on this for nearly 6 hours straight in Photoshop CS, starting with line-art and then adding color. I guess you can say I was determined to get this done tonight, lol. And I wonder if there's an easier way to vector things >.>; I have 2 more screenies of him that I'd love to do as well...

I forget what episode this is from, but the screenshot was originally a lot darker. I lightened the colors because I think Kazama just looks better when his eyes are the main focus :3 It was somewhat difficult balancing the colors, seems like *everything* in this screenshot had some sort of gradient applied.

I left the original screenshot background as well, I just tweaked it a smidge."

I'd just like to offer some advice XD

While the vector is nicely done, I see that you're using 'paths' to vector lines. While that works on some inanimate objects, it's better to use 'shape layers' when vectoring living things like animals, humans, plants etc. It might take a bit longer but the result is a more crisp look, especially on the hair which then gets those nice pointy ends instead of the blunt ones. Keep it up! :)

You can do pretty much. I like him very much.

Nice work! Kazama=love.. <3 The vector looks really nice and the simple background worked great with this.
