Artist Comment
Hello my fellow artists and public in general.
Today is a great day! Today I publish my 100th deviation in deviantArt!( I have 78 submitted artworks in Minitokyo, 79 with this one)
I was thinking "What could be that awesome enough to deserve the title of Aoi-no-Kokoro's (my username in dA) deviation #100?" and then I remember "Why not some creation myth from my book?" After all, what could be more epic than God? (from my point of view, of course)
Then, I choose to draw God and Mother Nature from my book "The Seven Mëlua's Daggers"
For those who don't know, I will start with the most commom known sentence for this image [Gen 1:1 - 5] :"In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. The earth was without form and void, and darkness was over the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. And God saw that the light was good. And God separated the light from the darkness. God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And there was evening and there was morning, the first day."
Now, why is there a girl in the image?
Well, while developing God's character, it was hard to understand how can a Being made by pure good make tornados, earthquakes and those kind of things?... So I came up with Mother Nature, whose personality and aspect are just like Nature itself, dashing, deadly and unpredictable. But attention! Mother Nature is not evil.
So, Background story from 7pm:
"Since always, back before there was any time to count, God was alone. By His own desire, God divided in half and
created a being as powerful and mighty as Himself, Nature, and together, They build the Universe, giving it light, form
and life.
God and Nature ruled over everything and send Their two daughters to look over their creations, Pacífico in Earth to
rule and Tranqüilidade in the Moon to protect, and, for a time, God and Nature saw it was good."
The clouds' brushes I've used belong to JavierZhX and you can find them here Thank you JavierZhx. If you've liked the clouds don't forget to credit him, he deserves it.
