Made a lot of work with this wall. I got the scan from Dual-Anime (sorry Rexy for leeching!!! *runs and hides*) I remade the sky bg (from brushes and smudging here and there) and the transmutation circle. All the rubble I got from an assortment of sources which I recolored and repainted to have a really nice dramatic background look because I absolutely love the scan! I'm dedicating this wallpaper to two friends of mine (Carlo and Anna) who constantly bug me to watch FMA which, until now I haven't done. ROFL.
Special thanks to tate-chan and to P-chan for helping evaluate the wall and for suggesting that I add a really neat fire effect behind the text (which I got off a tutorial, with a few of my own changes)
I've decided to enter this to the DA contest. Sounds like fun! And since I've been so evil to leech out more than one scan. XD Other resolutions available at http://www.imanimetions.net

HOT damn :O The turmoil in the sky is stunning. I like how you put the transmutation circle in there but not so it stands out too much.
And by the way, don't you think reinforced concrete is maybe a bit modern for FMA? :P -

lol Yeah I hope imanimetions will be updated soon, because that's just pure awesomeness. I like the scan, but the work on the bg is even more awesome XD ! I love the ruins and the dark composition, wtih this purple/red colours... Yup yup, the text and the effect on it are nice too :)

Some of these ruins look a lot blurrier than others, even among the stuff the characters rest one are piece with large differences. The characters themselves could some cleaning, the slight graininess and the low contrast don't seem to be caused by the dirt surrounding them.
It's also not for the best, if the most outstanding part of a wallpaper is the text.You've done better walls, shinta. :\

Noctum stole my thoughts. Anyway, the scan needs some cleaning and higher contrast (the shadows of Ed's pants should be pitch black and his gloves pitch white). The foreground really stands out as 3D elements and some parts are too blurry to create a coherent depth of field. The sky is perfect although I would have create a hole in the clouds to let go through some rays of lights to create an emphasis on the dramatic style. The rain should be more crisp and not so blurry too. @_@; To my mind, the transmutation circle wasn't that necessary in this scenery nor the "fire" effect behind the title. I know I like simple things. ¬_¬;

Great work as always shinta-san. ^___^ I really love the colors used and the design on the text. XD The symbol behind is nice. ^__^ Though I don't know. The 3d looks...weird for me. Maybe because the chars appear brighter than the bg itself or the place they are standing on. Anyhow, great work all the same. ^______^
