Artist Comment
I'm not satisfied with the result, because the original idea was different from the result.
I used this screenshot from the movie "Eden of The East" and redrawn it in SAI. I changed the form of her chest ,cause it looked deformed . Also I added more form to lips. The background is a resource photo of a seashore/ I liked the fact that there are footsteps on the sand, this detail linked the whole picture. Even though everything looked nice together , the wall looked too plain and simple. So I remembered this advertisement , which I like very much. Well, actually, I like the song. And then I just spend a lot of time "playing" with layers and lyrics , choosing the best position, size and font.
The result of all my manipulations are two versions: light and dark. The first one resembles to the advertisement, and the second looks more like cover of some mystic detective.

This is certainly different but holds it own appeal. The color theme for the wallpaper is soothing. The position of the character is just right. It helps in keeping the eyes focus to the right. The character and the background color fits well with each other. The texture of the character is lovely, it's out of norm and that's exactly why I like this wallpaper so much.
