Bakemonogatari Wallpaper: Her taste

This is a screenshot from Bakemonogatari, that I recently watched. It's taken from Kanbarus theme song.

I simply love the colours, so I couldn't refuse to wall it even though I'm not a Kanbaru-fan. The simplicity was also a fact for me because I think there's a certain beauty to it that I couldn't resist.

I was ready with the artlines and colorfields within a minute, but I was stuck with the sweets for ages. I can't stand such monotonous work really... I guess the different colors made it less boring though. In times like these I really really wish I knew Illustrator, I'd been done so much faster than Photoshop I imagine.

Then it was also very troublesome to place the sweets in the wall and made them blend well with Kanbaru, though I'm pretty satisfied with how it turend out~

My last dilemma was the choice of colour, I'd a vision of "the epic scheme", but I didn't get it right, I guess I was too blinded by all colours I'd tried. Finally I got some awsome tips from COLOURlovers and you'll see the result above!

Why mix Kanbaru and her chewing gum with sweets? Well, chewing gum is Her taste.
