Images: 1 (after resize), 2, 3, 4, 5
After resize I couldn't tell apart many of the scan's elements. I took parts of the body such as hands or eyes
from the huge Gintama scan.
I decided to make Kondo's haircut with spikes. Chonmage really doesn't suit him XD; It was a really hard wall
to make, I've been working on it for a while, so I'm glad to see it complete.
The kanji mean: dreams, hope, friendship, love. I chose this image with my word "float" for a challenge at theOtaku because of the relationships of the people in the picture. They all left Mitsuba (the girl) to go to the city and became the police, Shinsengumi. The 4 emotions (see the 4 floating petals as well) represent the things they almost let to float away from them. I made a fancy house and country side like one because I wanted the bridge to represent their passing from a bunch of ronin to samurai fighting for the country. I really love the image because it fit perfectly to the meanings I wanted to convey.

Wow, the vectoring is really good^^ not sure why I keep having this illusion feeling that the bridge is too small for the characters but it must be just me ^_^ well done though^^

Wow, it's kinda strange to see such detailed shading on a Gintama image, they're usually simpler. But that doesn't mean it isn't awesome, I love all the gradual shades and especially the colors, that grass must've been insane to vector >_<
And I think the symbolism is enough to net you a first place, execution aside :D Great work! -

Well the colors, vectoring and the view of the bg is rly great, u did a good job on them. But i have to point some of things that bothered me... it's all in the bg that i think u should have spend more time in them... like 1- the house in the right side, the roof of it it's just not well made and it's looks like u did it in a rush. 2- the edges in sakura trees in the bg is not that good and should have done it like a real "leaves" or at least make it more detailed like the edges in the characters which i really admire. 3- there's something odd in the water! i wonder what is it!?! @_@ 4- the green grass behind the characters look blurry while the houses aren't blurred..so it's kinda weird. 5- also the characters looks huge comparing to the bridge itself o.O
other than these things i mentioned, it look good but needs more work, i don't want to sound rude or anything i'm just saying my real opinion and like we all learned here that we learn from each other :)
