I thought there were not enough Madlax wallpapers around and chose to vector trace a scan from Madlax (brwose my gallery for the vectored scan XD im to lazy to search for it now ;__;)
neways after like one week of vectoring i extracted her and put her in that background.
The Background consists of several stockphotos i found containing different light effects taken from objects as buildings, lamps, cars and streets and so on... i blended them and erm colorized the finished background blue.
Thx to jinzhou for showing me some nice tips for how to blend a character into the BG :D thx Jin :3
and yes this will be my wallpaper for the Dual-Anime.com Contest ;)

Awesome crazyness on the light effects :o ! And perfect vector-work ( though I'm not an expert ^_^' ) . Everything blends together so well, and yeah we need more Madlax walls :) .

Woo-hoo. A Madlax wall. You're sooo right. There aren't just enough around.
You did an amazing job on it. It's so flashy; the colors worked really well in this wall - the scan and the ones you picked for the bg.

The building in the bg seems too realistic to match the vectored character picture and the bg itself also looks quite chaotic. @_@

very intresting work, just too much special fx for me - its a bit too busy for my eyes. the char could stand out a bit more imho, but great work anyway.

the vector is really cool and madlax is cool. the bg stock photos are really well done, i like the bg but i don't like the blue color >_< it hurts my eyes, because without this blue, i'd love your wallpaper, lima

The vector doesn't match the background and the colors just don't work well together. The blue doesn't compliment her very well... and the cherry blossom are just out of place. o.O;;
The background has nice effects, and the composition of it is good. It just doesn't seem to flow very well as a whole...
