I love how the background looks! It's very detailed and nice looking, I really like all the flowers. Though I think Yuki's face looks weird.

When I saw it, I thought: "wow, he seems to be so sad and melancholic!" So I wanted to make a wall with him. I search a concept and finally chose a destroyed winter garden (I first thought about a old graveyard, but it's not really novel...). All elements are vectored by me. I drew windows, cracked wall and colomn, added soft marble texture to make a elegant whole, painted the durty glasses (and cracks). I used some my own photos for flowers and table, created the torn sheets and used this picture for the iron sofa and cage:
I spent a really long time to assemble these elements and create a sad destroyed winter garden... and finally emphasized the whole atmosphere in playing with lightning, colors, saturation and contrast.

My goodness, how in the world did you manage to conjure up this concept? Well, it certainly suits the character's disposition/demeanor quite well. Aside from the incredibly distinguished vector, I've got to give you mad props for piecing/combining this together so well, it looks really authentic. Funny how the green windows makes the atmosphere all the more intriguing. Amazing work!
